Intrastat
Intrastat is a system for collecting statistics on goods moving between European Union member states.
Definition
In general ERP practice
Intrastat is a system for collecting statistics on goods moving between European Union member states.
Arrivals describe goods entering a reporting country from another EU country; dispatches describe goods leaving for another EU country. The reporting obligation is determined nationally.
In Odoo
Odoo Accounting can prepare an Intrastat report from configured product, partner and invoice/bill information. National export availability depends on the installed modules and localization.
Reporting obligation and frequency
Check the country, year and reportable flow. Where thresholds apply, arrivals and dispatches are assessed separately. The standard reporting period is a calendar month; deadlines and rules for months without movements are national.
Illustrative example
A company in Poland receives 100 brackets from Germany and sends 40 to France. Its arrivals and dispatches are reported separately, subject to its reporting obligations.
Official sources
Definitions use the official sources below. The Odoo explanation refers to Odoo 19; national requirements and installed localization must be checked separately.
