Demand Forecasting

Demand forecasting estimates future customer or internal demand over a defined horizon. It is an assumption-based planning input, distinct from already confirmed orders.

Odoo’s MPS accepts manually adjusted demand forecasts and proposes replenishment against stock targets. Inventory forecast reports instead show expected stock from known movements; neither should be described as a universal automatic statistical demand-forecasting engine.
