Available to Promise (ATP)

Available to promise is the quantity that can be committed to new customer demand after considering existing stock, scheduled supply and prior commitments within a defined horizon. It is not simply total on-hand stock.

Odoo’s forecast report and reservation logic are the closest documented functions. They show expected stock movements and availability, but a reliable customer promise also needs lead times and capacity checks; a forecast balance is not a universal ATP engine across every resource constraint.
