Engineering change management controls revisions to product designs, component requirements and production instructions. It records what changes, who approves it and when a new version takes effect.
In Odoo
Odoo PLM uses engineering change orders to manage product and BoM changes, with versions and approval stages. Applying an approved change updates the relevant manufacturing definition; editing a live BoM informally does not provide the same controlled revision process.
