Conversion Rate
Conversion rate definition and formula, with lead-to-opportunity and opportunity-to-won examples for Odoo CRM.
Definition
In general ERP practice
Conversion rate is the percentage of a defined group that completes a specified action: conversions divided by the eligible starting population, multiplied by 100. The action, population and observation window must be stated for the figure to be meaningful.
In Odoo
In Odoo CRM, conversion analysis can distinguish lead-to-opportunity qualification from opportunity-to-won outcomes. Use consistent filters and populations when calculating these rates from CRM records or reports. Conversion rate is an observed group outcome; the Probability field is an estimate for an individual record.
From ERPixel practice
A campaign running from April to July may produce sales later. Evaluate its leads as a consistent cohort and allow an appropriate observation window instead of comparing leads created this month with unrelated deals won this month.
Illustrative calculation
If 100 leads from the same campaign generate 40 qualified opportunities, the lead-to-opportunity conversion rate is 40 / 100 × 100 = 40%. If 10 of those 40 opportunities become won deals, the opportunity win conversion is 25%, while the original lead-to-won conversion is 10%. These are different measures; none is the weighted revenue forecast.
