CRM
CRM meaning: customer relationships, communication history and follow-up work, plus how Odoo CRM connects leads and opportunities to the wider ERP.
Definition
In general ERP practice
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is the practice of organising a company’s interactions with current and potential customers. A CRM system records contact details, communication history, sales opportunities and follow-up work so that customer relationships can be managed consistently.
In Odoo
In Odoo, CRM is an application within the wider ERP platform. It manages leads, opportunities, pipeline stages and activities, and connects potential sales to quotations through the Sales application. Channels such as telephony and advertising require the appropriate integrations.
From ERPixel practice
CRM includes what the customer told you, what you promised, the documents you exchanged and the tasks your team needs to complete. Its value depends on keeping that history connected to a responsible person and a clear next action.
