Reorder Point
A reorder point is the stock threshold at which replenishment should start to cover demand during supply lead time, often including safety stock.
Definition
In general ERP practice
A reorder point is the stock threshold at which replenishment should start to cover demand during supply lead time, often including safety stock. It is a policy input rather than an order quantity.
In Odoo
Odoo’s minimum quantity on a reordering rule provides the closest threshold. The rule considers forecast stock and replenishment timing; the maximum and quantity multiple determine how much to propose or procure.

The Odoo-specific explanation above is based on the documentation for Odoo 19. Features and workflows can differ in other versions.
