Profit and Loss Statement (P&L)
A profit and loss statement reports revenue, expenses and profit or loss over a defined period.
Definition
In general ERP practice
A profit and loss statement reports revenue, expenses and profit or loss over a defined period. It measures financial performance rather than the cash held at a particular date.
In Odoo
Odoo’s Profit and Loss report groups ledger balances by financial account type. Period and company filters affect the result; an invoice can contribute revenue before cash is received, so profit and cash flow should be reviewed separately.
