Period close is the review and finalization of accounting records for a reporting period. It includes reconciling balances, completing accruals and adjustments, reviewing reports and restricting subsequent changes.
In Odoo
Odoo supports the process through reconciliation, accounting reports and lock dates. A monthly close is an accounting workflow using these tools, rather than a single button that guarantees every account has been reviewed.
