Fixed Assets

Fixed assets are long-lived tangible resources used in operations rather than held for ordinary resale. Their cost is generally allocated over their useful life, except assets such as land that are not depreciated.

Odoo Accounting manages assets and depreciation boards using asset accounts and models. Accounting assets differ from equipment records used for maintenance; capitalization rules determine whether a purchase belongs in assets or immediate expenses.
