Employee master data is the maintained set of personnel information used across HR processes, including identity, employment details, department and working arrangements. Sensitive information requires appropriate access restrictions.

Odoo Employees stores personnel records used by linked HR apps. An employee and a login user are different records; payroll, attendance and timesheets need their respective configuration and permissions rather than being enabled merely by creating a name.
