Accounts Payable (AP)

Accounts payable are amounts a business owes suppliers for goods or services already invoiced or otherwise recognized as payable. They are liabilities, separate from unbilled purchase commitments.

Odoo records vendor bills against payable accounts and follows their settlement through payments and reconciliation. Purchase orders, receipts and bill-control policies help check what should be billed, but confirming a purchase order is not itself a posted payable.
