Odoo Implementation · Case study
Odoo Retail, Point of Sale and B2B Ecommerce for a Norwegian Company
See how ERPixel implemented Odoo retail, barcode PoS, inventory, Norwegian accounting and personalized B2B ecommerce for a 10,000-product business.
Project context
Retail and wholesale
After acquiring a new business, a Norwegian company had to rebuild its retail and wholesale operations from the ground up. The new operating model needed to connect procurement, warehouse stock, in-store transactions, B2B ordering and local accounting within one system.
Product information arrived from multiple suppliers in different formats and included inconsistent records and duplicates. The company had no structured catalog for retail or ecommerce, no centralized real-time view of sales and inventory, and no controlled B2B channel for customer-specific wholesale pricing.

Transformation
Before and after
The operational change delivered through the project.
Before
- Supplier product data was fragmented across sources, formats and duplicate records.
- There was no unified product catalog ready for both in-store sales and ecommerce.
- Retail transactions and stock movements were not managed through one real-time system.
- The new wholesale channel required restricted access and personalized customer pricing.
- Accounting had to be configured for Norwegian taxes and financial reporting.
After
- A single structured catalog supports approximately 10,000 products across PoS, inventory and B2B ecommerce.
- Odoo PoS and barcode scanners support fast in-store transactions with real-time stock updates.
- Registered wholesale customers can order through a restricted portal using personalized prices.
- Pricing, product and inventory data remain consistent across offline and online channels.
- Norwegian accounting localization supports the company’s tax reporting and financial control.
- Management can review stock levels, sales performance and margins within the same ERP environment.
