Odoo Manufacturing & Accounting · Case study
Odoo Manufacturing and Multi-Company Finance for a Polish Fashion Company
Odoo case study for a Polish fashion manufacturer: subcontract production, multi-company finance, direct cash flow, Fibery, Slack and payment approvals.
Project context
Fashion manufacturing and global corporate merchandise
A Poland-based fashion manufacturer designs and produces custom corporate merchandise and premium swag for large international companies. Global B2B contracts combine high order volumes, strict delivery dates, customized product designs, subcontract production and multi-currency financial operations.
The company already used Odoo, but parts of the inherited implementation were incomplete or did not reflect the real manufacturing and finance model. ERPixel needed to stabilize the architecture, correct earlier process decisions and extend the system for subcontract costing, multi-company consolidation, investor-grade reporting and cross-team coordination.

ERPixel solution
How the work was approached
ERPixel stabilized and extended the existing Odoo environment across CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, Accounting and Payroll. The solution supports subcontract production without standardized Bills of Materials, consolidated multi-company and multi-currency reporting, a custom Direct Method Cash Flow Statement, Fibery and Slack integrations, and a configurable Payment Request approval process.
Implementation details
Architecture, workflows and reporting scope
Subcontract manufacturing without standard BoMs
Each corporate merchandise order is designed for a specific client, making reusable product Bills of Materials impractical. The Odoo model instead supports order-specific production and costing.
- Raw materials sent to external factories and ateliers
- Subcontract sewing and finishing services
- Additional production overheads
- Final product cost structure
- Profitability by customized order
Multi-company and multi-currency accounting
The finance architecture consolidates several legal entities and global currency operations while retaining the detail needed by the finance team.
- Multiple legal entities
- Global multi-currency transactions
- Consolidated Profit & Loss
- Consolidated Balance Sheet
- Financial structure for management and investor review
Direct Method Cash Flow Statement
Standard Odoo did not provide the required report. ERPixel developed a custom reporting engine that classifies bank activity and reflects cash movement on the date each transaction occurs.
- Direct-method cash-flow logic
- Actual bank-transaction dates
- Multi-currency reporting
- Liquidity visibility
- Custom reporting engine
Fibery and Slack integrations
The integrations connect design work and internal communication with operational execution instead of requiring teams to reconcile project state manually.
- Fibery design workflow
- Project-status synchronization with Odoo
- Slack operational notifications
- Cross-team status visibility
Payment Request approval workflow
Employees submit payment needs through a controlled process. Configurable approvers receive notifications and confirm requests before the finance team executes payment.
- Supplier prepayments
- Marketing expenses
- B2B contractor payments
- Configurable approval stages
- Approval history and statistics
Implementation recovery and extension
The project combined analysis, correction and new development around a live Odoo environment. Delivery involved analysts, developers, QA, finance specialists, warehouse users and sales teams.
- Existing architecture assessment
- Correction of earlier implementation issues
- Finance-process customization
- Cross-functional validation
- Approximately 40 project participants across ERPixel and client teams
Transformation
Before and after
The operational change delivered through the project.
Before
- The inherited Odoo implementation contained unstable processes and architectural decisions that did not match daily operations.
- Customized merchandise orders could not rely on traditional standardized Bills of Materials.
- Materials, subcontracting services and production overheads required one dependable order-cost structure.
- Multiple legal entities and currencies lacked consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and cash-flow visibility.
- Design work in Fibery and operational work in Odoo were not connected.
- Supplier prepayments, marketing costs and contractor payments lacked one traceable approval workflow.
After
- Odoo controls materials, subcontract services, overheads and final cost for customized production orders.
- Multi-company and multi-currency accounting supports consolidated Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting.
- A custom Direct Method Cash Flow Statement reports bank movements by their actual transaction date.
- Fibery synchronizes design and project status with operational records in Odoo.
- Slack distributes automated notifications about relevant operational events.
- Payment Requests follow configurable approval steps with notifications, history and approval statistics.
