Payroll Deductions

Payroll deductions are amounts subtracted from gross earnings, such as employee contributions, tax or authorized repayments. Their treatment differs from employer expenses that do not reduce employee net pay.

Odoo salary rules and additional salary inputs calculate configured deductions. Salary attachments cover documented recurring deductions such as repayments or garnishments; the appropriate structure and localization determine how they affect the payslip.
