    Example of Using IMS for a Retail Company

    The business of company “ABC” is selling luxury goods globally. The company has one warehouse, which is separate from the office, and their inventory consists of approximately 3,000 items. They operate an online store using the WooCommerce platform.

    When a customer places an order, IMS receives a “Customer Delivery” document. IMS checks product availability and reserves each SKU. The operator receives a notification that the order is ready to be shipped. Using a barcode scanner, the operator confirms every product placed in the package. IMS updates the stock quantity to reflect the decrease. With reordering rules configured, the Purchase Manager receives a notification to replenish stock with a new purchase order.
